TAPE CAMOUFLAGE by TAPE THAT

@ARTCADEN EXHIBITION - BERLIN

Camouflage: Becoming one with Tape Art.

In the fall of 2017 the Berlin based artist collective Die Dixons aka Xi-Design to do whatever we could imagine in an empty 300 square meter space, inside the Wilmersdorfer Arcaden mall in Berlin. We decided to paint the whole place white and tape 4 large installations in different areas of the room. We added furniture, such that each area became a room of itself. The furniture was partly white and partly the same design as the area. To make the installation interactive we created clothing in the same style as the respective artwork. Thus, visitors were not only observers of the artwork but could become one with it. Some visitors even took it one step further and created their own art on top of ours and used the installation for dancing, photography and videography.
