Rooms are like stages for the purpose they are built for. The way a room is designed tells us something about it’s inhabitants and their mindset. A room can be loud or quite depending on the action that happens inside. A room is a vessel for an attitude one wants to express. It can be protective or inviting, animating or calming.

The shape of a room tells us how to move inside and the walls are guiding the visitors to a certain point. By recognising the geometry of a room and either following it or contradicting it, we can say something about our intentions. It is surprisingly easy to create confusion by breaking up the original geometry of a room with an artwork. By doing so we can revive spaces and give them a second life. We can even inspire new ways of thinking and support creative processes by carefully changing the perception of a workspace.
